Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English artist and songwriter, who goes by the name Jessie J. The unique music style that Jessie performs that fuses soul vocals along with electropop, pop, and hip-hop, has earned her fame from a very young age. Jessie has also won numerous nominations and awards such as the 2011 'Critics Choice Brit Awards' as well as the BBC's Sound of 2011.' The career of Jessie began at the early age of eleven when she was featured in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' one of the musicals written that was written by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Then, she was a part of the National Youth Music Theater' and appeared in the show The Late Sleepers that premiered in 2002. Her fame was boosted in 2011, with her first album of studio work 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. In the UK alone it sold 105,000 units, while in the US it was 34,000. Jessie's album was also 2nd place on the Charts of UK Albums, as well as number 11 in the US Billboard 200.
