Annette Funicello was an American performer and a singer. Her most famous role was as one of the original "Mouseketeers" on the 'Mickey Mouse Club.' When she was a teenager she began her singing career. She became well-known for songs like 'Tall Paul 'and "Pineapple Princess. Annette was raised in Utica by parents of Italian origin. She was shy as when she was a child. In her quest to achieve a successful career in entertainment her first step was acting and performing. Around the middle of 1950, she was featured in a number of Disney sketches as part of one the "Mouseketeers" which earned her considerable popularity. As an adult, Annette shredded her 'Disney persona, and appeared in a number of adult roles. Being one of the first performers, Annette was credited as the first to introduce the "beach" style of party. The actress was featured in films such as How to Stuff a Wild Bikini, Pajama Party, and ?Beach Party ?. She continued to make music albums.
